Steve "Bluey" Muir | Raffle and Rotary Corner |
Steve “Bluey” Muir presented an article from “Rotary Down Under” and re-iterated World President John Kenny’s theme: “The future of Rotary is in Your Hands” and proceeded to read out a quote from John Kenny’s speech to RI. It sounded very familiar, then we realised that Oscar D’Souza presented it two weeks ago! On ya for paying attention and reading the “Breeze” Bluey! Clearly “Dry in July” is taking its toll! Still, the quote is well worth repeating…. Bluey paid the fine…..! (Who won the raffle? Dunno! I was too busy laughing at poor Bluey!! –ed) “In Rotary, everything we are, and everything we aspire to become lies in the hands of Rotarians in their clubs. If our clubs are congenial and our meetings well run, if our service is carefully planned and competently carried out, if our members are qualified, honest and respected in their vocations and communities, then all of Rotary will thrive. This is why I say The Future of Rotary is in Your Hands.”
