Andrew and Beth enjoyed the RYPEN Camp | Guest Speakers |
Guest Speakers
The Guest Speakers today were Beth Emmott and Andrew Burt, reporting to us about how they went at the RYPEN (Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment) Camp. It was held on the weekend of 29/30 May for Year 10 Students at Point Walter in Perth. They said that they both had a great time participating in all sorts of activities from presentations, to Trust Games, Debates, morning aerobics, and a disco. They learnt a lot about important teenage issues like self-esteem, confidence, friendship, and leadership etc.

Then Beth mentioned that she went down to a follow up Camp reunion last Saturday to discuss with others how it went, and how to expand/ improve it. Oscar thanked Andrew and Beth for taking the time to come and talk to us, saying that it is a great thing to be a part of, and that it is yet another great initiative and event organised by Rotary clubs nationwide. |
