One month for our outbound in France!

My first month in France has already been a crazy (mostly uphill) adventure. It's crazy how fast it is flying by already. I have been busy learning the French language and adjusting to this new way of life for me.

Apologies for my lack of uploading, I fell quite unwell for a week and a bit but after some care and a lot of antibiotics I am feeling much better.

My favourite quote which has been easing the difficulty of exchange for me is "It's not wrong- it's just different!" Such as the fact I can't find peanut butter anywhere and I have almost run out of my caramelo koalas.

School of course is difficult but I have a lot of friends now and I am always recieved warmly. I am now in a show with my theatre class (with 2 sentences mind you) but I am very excited to be trying out theatre in a different langauge, and possibly singing in it too.

Our rotary weekends are a lot of fun, we get together once a month and it is always a good time with the other inbounds from all around the world. I also went to a rotary meeting last night and listened to a presentation on butter and got to go home with about 5 different big blocks of butter, the meetings are very different to Australia I find!

Today I got to go out the back of a bakery, which was awesome to see, had my hair cut, did some shopping with my host mum and went to the gym with my host sister.

I am extremley excited because on Friday it is vacation and I fulfill a very old dream of mine and I go to Paris for the first time!!! It is a week bus trip from Paris to Barcelona with the other exchange students, and then the following week (my 18th!!) my host family is taking me skiing in the south of France.
