The Six B's!

Bradley Millstead and the “Six B’s”

Bradley is a farmer from Watheroo who describes himself as a bloke cares about himself and others, and how they are feeling and coping with the stresses working the land. He is a strong advocate for mental health.

Farmers can be isolated, with no one to talk to, drifting apart as they get on with the work they do. Through Twitter Bradley encourages other blokes to get together to experience the “Six B’s”. They are Blokes, Barbecues, Bonfires, Beers, Bullshit and Bonding! The aim is to prevent the tragedy of suicide in the Bush. Far too many men lose the battle to depression, the “Silent Monster”. Suicide is the leading cause of death in 18-45 year olds, 2.5  times the road toll.

Some of the Mob from the "Oposition"!!

Catpn Mainwarring, Koki and Captn Morgan!

The idea of the 6 B’s is to provide support for mates and help them back onto stable ground. “Listen lots and talk little” is the mainstay! We need to look out for possible signs of distress in our mates and ask how they are travelling.  It is “OK to not be OK”.
