That man again, GEOFF WOODS was on his feet to introduce ROSS McARTHUR.                 

ROSS has been our LEGACY contact for many years and in that time RGG has donated $160-170K to LEGACY.   

ROSS thanked our Club for its continuous support and used the example of a 4 yr old girl who LEGACY now sponsors to highlight the work LEGACY does for families of our veterans.

During our Breakfast meeting it became apparent that a number of our new members were unaware of what LEGACY represents or what they do in our Community. The following few paragraphs are aimed at filling that knowledge gap.

There are 44 LEGACY CLUBS in Australia and LEGACY has been supporting veteran’s families since 1923. (One of the founders was General John Monash-ed) LEGACY is a Charity providing services to Australian families suffering after the injury or death of a spouse or parent during or after their DEFENCE FORCE service.      LEGACY currently care for 52,000 beneficiaries including 1845 children and disabled dependents throughout Australia.

LEGACY exists to care for the partners and the children of those who GAVE THEIR LIVES or their health for our country!!
