Presented by Tim Duggan, drawn by Des Lehmann and won by Keitha Bradley! RC was a bit this on the ground today so as editor I will mention another of Rotary’s youth programs, Rotaract. There are currently three clubs in the district, Rotaract clubs of Subiaco, UWA and ECU. Another in the CBD is in planning. Formed in the USA in 1968, Rotaract is a Rotary sponsored service club for young adults 18-30. They are sponsored by a local Rotary Club, making them “partners in service”. Through the Rotaract program, Rotaractors expand their knowledge and skills and address the physical and social needs of their communities while promoting international understanding and peace. Rotaract is friendship in action. Could there be scope for a Geraldton Club through University and Tafe here? Something to think about!
