The End Is Nigh.

President Tim advised current board members as well as incoming board that he was planning a joint meeting with a period of fellowship to follow on the 6th June. More detail will be available closer to the date. He also said Paula wished to arrange another partners function around 23rd May.

With the current Rotary year drawing to a close PE Lew advised ther is a District Assembly on 17th May and would appreciate the attendance of as many of his incoming board members as possible.

To finish the announcements President Tim wanted to draw our attention to the Malaria Awareness Day 0n 30th April. As a number of members are aware Steve Carroll was in Geraldton at the end of March and he was riding around Australia to raise awareness of the devastating effects of Malaria across the world. He stated his goal was to attempt to assist in the eradication of malaria the same as we are attempting to eradicate Polio. Every day1300 children under the age of five, or one child every minute is infected with malaria. We can asist by contributing to Rotarians Against Malaria "RAM" which is a project of "RAWCS".
