Ray in action! | Presented by Ray Haynes |
Ray Haynes gave us a quick history of the Rotary youth exchange program, noting that it began in 1987/88 for our club, but commenced in 1929 as an initiative of the Rotary club of Copenhagen. Approximately 9000 students per year go on exchange and Ray, as all accountants should, did some sums while trying to get to sleep, and calculated that that meant approximately 1 million students overall. |
The raffle was then drawn but I don’t know who won – I’m pretty sure they paid a fine. (Jeez mate, it was me! Got a bit overwhelmed, eh??!-Doc) |
